Sales & Applications Engineer

Position Summary

  • The Sales & Applications Engineer supports our growing sales and design efforts to develop custom heat transfer solutions

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides technical sales support to clients with detailed layouts and cost analysis
  • Provides engineering department support by generating accurate designs utilizing heat exchanger software, ASME Code software or other methods
  • Assists in development of accurate engineering specifications for design and/or procurement of subsystems, components, and engineering services
  • Assists in development of written proposals, instructions, manuals, and other documentation that may be distributed to customers or internal users
  • Assists design engineering with the development of schematics or drawings
  • Reviews documents such as customer design specifications and requests to determine feasibility of design and applicability
  • Generates cost estimates, quotations and perform the necessary follow-up activities to facilitate new business

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

  • BS in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or Mechanical/Chemical Engineering Technology
  • Minimum 2 years related work experience in related industry
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and sales proposals
  • Proven record of accomplishment in generating innovative and practical ideas
  • Team player with innovative ideas and attention to detail

Position Summary

  • The Sheet Metal Fabricator is responsible for forming, bending, shearing, punching, and molding sheet metal as well as various other additional responsibilities as required

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adheres to company deadlines to meet or exceed production sheet metal fabrication schedule
  • Proficiently operates equipment including punch press, shears, brake press, and plate rolls
  • Downloads/uploads necessary programs, understanding nesting priorities and maintaining traceability of material
  • Understands complex forming drawings and programs
  • Maintains tight tolerances for assemblies and sub-assemblies
  • Works with various equipment upon direction to serve backlog for optimum productivity
  • Works with other departments of production upon request
  • Adheres to company safety, workmanship, and all other employment policies

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sheet metal forming
  • Strong CNC background of programs and edits required
  • Ability to understand production demands and facility loading

CNC Machinist

Position Summary

  • Diversified Manufacturing is looking for a competent CNC Operator/Machinist to use computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of machining functions
  • The CNC Operator Machinist position is responsible for producing machined parts by setting up and operating a variety of manual and computer numerical control (CNC) machines; maintaining quality, safety standards; and maintaining equipment

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and operate manual and CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, tapping, grinding, milling etc
  • Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc
  • Maintains specifications by observing machining operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions and adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
  • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
  • Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
  • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

  • Proven experience as CNC Operator/Machinist
  • Skill in operating manual and CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
  • Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
  • A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
  • Good communication abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Diversified Manufacturing is looking for an experienced Welder to weld various metals and perform associated tasks

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Use of Mig, Tig, Pulse, and Flux Core applications
  • Weld to ASME or AWS codes
  • Weld various metals by selecting the correct equipment and proper process
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Understand inspection technique to perform first article and random inspections to required specifications

  • 3 years experience in Mig, Tig, Pulse, and Flux Core applications

  • Proven history of successful quality audits
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities with the ability to work with other departments to successfully handle quality production issues
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, ERP System (JobBoss), and documentation software (Docuware)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to successfully interact with other departments, customers, and suppliers
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others, motivate employees and enhance change management
  • Maintains highest ethical and credibility standards
